Preface: I’m torn about whether to continue to post these. I don’t mean to step on the toes of any of the officially sanctioned song discussion threads and I have a feeling many of you dramatically roll your eyes at the length of my overthought, overexplained, self-indulgent word salads. I finally decided to do at least one more – this one, specifically, at the request of u/standard_range3723 . If y’all really like them feel free to send requests, I’ve been through the entire Kyuss/QotSA/TCV dis... 6. The people shall have the right to clean streets and parks. 7. If you have noticed, these are skills that make a decent individual. All you need is a little conviction because as long as you trust others and not over-analyze everything by yourself, as long as you can speak with them in terms that establish authority in managing and doing tasks, you won’t have too much to worry about, except getting work done on time.

My kid is in kindergarten. We're spending, on average, about 30-40 minutes doing homework assignments with her each night including the weekends. This seems excessive. The assignments are easy, for the most part, but does seem like a lot of busy work. A typical assignment includes a letter and a number to learn. Each assignment has about 6-8 worksheets each where the kids have to trace letters, write them on their own, sort numbers into columns, etc. In addition, they have 'weekly' assignm... EDIT: After reading all the replies, I've decided a librarian is probably not the right career choice for me. Thanks for all the insight! You've saved me a lot of wasted time and money. I'll continue my search for a future career elsewhere. Hi all, I’m looking to get some more insight on what it’s like to be a librarian. I’ve been doing some casual reading on being a librarian through google and on Reddit. So I know a little. I have a BA in graphic design. When I went to school for graphic... I’m a new lurker and looked through some post history to see if this topic was already covered, but I don’t see it, sorry if this is a repost. Anyway, I have two kids headed towards middle school right now. On top of going to a local magnet school, we spend an hour most nights practicing multiplication tables, division, spelling, redoing work they got poor grades on, etc. Plus, one of my kids gets tutoring three times a week. All of this is done just to make sure my kids stay on track for the...

It’s difficult to put my feelings into words, but I will do my best. I am having increasing anxiety over the passage of time. See the company I worked for at the time had a tiered training system. Bronze tier meant you were qualified to do your job, silver meant you'd gone the extra mile to really learn the ins and outs of the job and could be used to train new people in your job. Gold meant you had mastered your current position and Platinum was generally intended to be the stepping stone to be cross-trained in different depar... Gather round dearest of Dear Friends! It’s been a rough year. It’s so easy to lose track of time when the pandemic keeps us trapped inside, only able to leave our houses for work, school, vacations, porch lunches, music festivals, hotel visits to get away from our children, more vacations, potlucks, picking up our family so they can vacation with us, and Thanksgiving feasts with our friends and our sickly children. It's been a strange year. But in any case, we’ve had /r/InTheGloaming to keep... *We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. Hi everyone! My family is going to be travelling for the next year for an international medical fellowship in various developing countries. I have a second grader I'm going to attempt to homeschool. I've been searching around for curriculum but I'm having a hard time finding exactly something that would work. I don't want it fully online since we'll have spotty access to the internet but also we can't lug around books and instruction manuals in our suitcases so it can't really be "physical" at ...
(Previous: https://redd.it/ruhn4n) Keeping a hand on my sidearm at all times, we pushed on. I didn’t even dare slap the bugs away trying to make a meal out of me. The further we went, the more the darkness fought against the torch light. I needed to stay on Gavin's heels to stay inside the light. He was also looking tense. Beads of sweat ran down his face, the man looking ready to attack at any moment. Squinting, I thought I say something beyond our light. A small dot of color. We slowly got...

Let them pick from a list so they can better express themselves, and teach some new vocabulary in the process. If you want to get creative, this worksheet can be used for a number of other purposes as well.

Does anyone have any good tips or recommendations for practicing code? I recently got my Bachelor's, but I do not feel I can code anything; the last two years of my life and college are a blur of unusual stress, just getting through my classes. I tend to get a feeling of doom whenever I look at coding problems, for there is so much information that I am not sure how to process, but I know I am capable of understanding under the right conditions. I'm finally feeling ready to relax and think again...

Hiya everyone! I got a 69/90/84, 82W this September 2021 sitting. I've had a ton of messages asking for some advice on prepping for the GAMSAT, so this post runs through my experience and a few of my thoughts. **This is not a perfect how-to guide, it's a bit of wisdom from taking the GAMSAT in a very methodological, driven, and balanced way.** I tackled the GAMSAT by taking many breaks, sometimes not taking enough, cutting many corners, spending too long on some things, and not long enough on ot...

Hello, so I've recently become a teacher, and of course, I've had PLENTY of run-ins with EPs, so I thought I'd share one in my class (I teach K-6). So this is all during online learning. So with our lessons, we use Google Classroom and Google slides and sometimes we give out interactive worksh...
I'm 24 F and diagnosed with "high functioning" bpd but I'm unsure. I don't know what's wrong with me. I can't focus at all on anything. I get overwhelmed easily. I think of all the different outcomes that could come from that decision and its like my brain can't keep up, it just stops and makes my body freeze too.
